Position Overview: We are in search of a dedicated PHP Developer experienced in WordPress customization. The ideal candidate will create and customize post types, making it easier for activists to document and share stories on our platform. This role is pivotal in enhancing the user experience and streamlining the process of story documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Custom WordPress Development:

    • Develop and customize WordPress post types tailored to the project’s requirements.
    • Ensure the new post types integrate seamlessly with the existing website design and functionality.

  2. User-Friendly Interface:

    • Collaborate with the UX/UI team to design intuitive interfaces, ensuring that activists can easily document stories without technical hurdles.

  3. Code Optimization & Maintenance:

    • Ensure the website remains fast, responsive, and free from bugs or issues.
    • Continuously optimize the codebase for improved performance and security.

  4. Collaboration & Feedback:

    • Work closely with the project team and activists to gather feedback and implement necessary changes.
    • Regularly communicate progress, challenges, and suggestions to the project lead.

  5. Documentation:

    • Maintain proper documentation for the customizations, ensuring other developers can understand and work with the code in the future.

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in PHP development and WordPress customization.
  • Familiarity with creating custom post types in WordPress.
