Position Overview: As the Project Manager for the “Human War Journal,” you will be orchestrating the various moving parts to align with our mission and objectives. Your leadership, organizational prowess, and strategic insights will be instrumental in guiding the project to success and ensuring our efforts resonate deeply with our audience.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning & Strategy:

    • Design, implement, and manage project plans, ensuring alignment with the project’s goals and objectives.
    • Anticipate potential challenges and devise strategies to mitigate them.
  2. Team Leadership & Coordination:

    • Lead and inspire a diverse, remote team, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across various roles.
    • Coordinate tasks, resources, and timelines to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion.
  3. Stakeholder Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Update stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
  4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Track project metrics, analyzing performance to ensure objectives are being met.
    • Generate and present regular reports detailing project status, risks, and achievements.
  5. Resource Management:

    • Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources, ensuring optimal efficiency.
    • Budget management, ensuring the project remains within financial parameters.
  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Solicit feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine project processes.
    • Stay updated with best practices in project management to drive innovation and efficiency in our operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in non-profit or digital projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving teams to success.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of the “Human War Journal”.
